It was a couple of months ago I decided I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I’d had an older acoustic around the house for the past couple of years and had never touched it but it was always in the back of my mind to learn.

When I finally got the urge up to give it a try I decided I wanted to learn from home using videos some how rather then sign up for private lessons. While I had read that taking private lessons was the better way to go I just didn’t have the extra time to commit an hour every week to attend a lesson.

I opted for a dvd home study course I found online on another blog about guitar. The blog had reviewed learn and master guitar, a 20 dvd home study course that teaches you how to play from scratch all at home. What really caught my eye about it was that they offered online support after purchasing the product. I could actually ask questions about the guitar online, how much closer could I get to a personal lesson then that. Videos of the instructor at home and access to him online for questions.

It’s been a couple of months now since I started using the product. While I don’t have anything to go on it seems to be easy to follow and I’ve gone from not knowing how to hold or tune my guitar to strumming basic chords and reading music.

There are some points that it just seems things are taking a long time to learn but I keep telling myself that even the guitar greats had to start some where.

My friends and I have been big fans of music from all genres and all forms. We jave developed a certain taste for it like no other because we do different kinds of analysis of music, unlike some other people who would just say the music is good, just because the beat sounds nice to their ears, without thinking through the whole song and making sure that the music is worthy of the phrase “good music”. We usually have different views of music. I have a friend that really loves pop, there’s one that likes reggae, I do alternative and hardcore rock, one who loves disco and techno, while one of us loves just about everything. They had a trip one time and I heard from them that Detroit techno is one of the best due to its sound, unique blend of instruments, and really upbeat and energetic auditory sensation. They said that this sound is uniquely created to soothe the taste of just about every partygoer in the state and in all parts of the world. Right now, I can’t seem to get enough of Indian music for some reason… maybe I have been watching too much Bollywood films that I began developing a taste for their kind of music.

I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar ever since I was a kind because I have been watching and idolizing a lot of the great guitar artists from Carlos Santana, Slash and of course the unparalleled master guitarist Eric Clapton. I grew up watching a lot of concerts, live and taped, and some battle of the bands contests within our area and I really like it when the contestants can bring the rock in to their guitars with their guitar solos. Yesterday, my friend told me that I should buy the Learn and Master Guitar guide so I could at least learn something and finally get to use my guitar at home that I have never played ever since I bought it. Although, even though I am impressed with the descriptions that I saw about the product, I still want to see some Learn and Master Guitar Review and see if this really works because the product is a bit pricy and I don’t want to waste money just in case. I found some reviews and saw the pros and cons of the product and I think I should look for some more before making my decision if I’m buying it or not.

Music and songs in part have been describe as the language of the Gods and no one can doubt that music and songs have played a major part not only in our everyday lives but also in every human’s spirituality. Worship songs have indeed always been part of religion and one can deduce that they have worked hand in hand to help and strengthen each other through the ages. From the simple chants that our ancestral tribesmen did, it was all for praising, thanking and even asking something from the Gods. It is good to know that worship songs have become number one as they not only inspire the soul but in fact can be a guide to how we live our lives. This is probably one way the Church or any other religion can bring in more devotees; through the magic of song and dance.

The most popular television show that ever graced the entertainment industry, American Idol, has recently capped of their 8th season. It has produced a great number of talents from its previous seasons. The latest winner was David Cook. The season 8 finale was held in Nokia Theater where thousands of fans have gathered to support him and the other top finalist David Archueleta. Coincidentally they both have the same name. David Cook’s last performance was so touching because he filled with emotions. It was a reflection of his whole journey during entire American Idol from his audition until he reached the finale.

There is no doubt the every contestant who joined the competition are all good. There verdict mostly came from votes of the viewers and the rest from the three notable judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson who made the show more interesting. Auditions for season 8 are starting to roll so for those hopefuls they better get ready as the American Idol caravan is on the way to their city.

After getting my new Iphone, I just couldn’t stop downloading songs. I want to be updated all the time with the latest ones. They are very cheap and easy to transfer. I really want to equip my latest gadget with the latest songs playing today. There are some sites of these songs for free however watch out for any illegal downloads that tap into the usual issue of piracy. This could be alittle bit troublesome especially if you get caught.
