A Semi-free Experience

Written by admin in Movies

I got referred to a web site by a friend where he said I can get free movie downloads + divx formats. Since I really love movies, I immediately went to the site 66stage to get me some new movies. When I got there, I was surprised that the home page showed me tons of new movies and they are all ready for download in just a matter of clicking them. When I tried to click the movie X Men Origins: Wolverine, I got a bit disappointed because the pop up window sent me to a signup page where I have to pay them via credit card before I could make a download. But then again I thought; only stage66 can get me unlimited download of movies for a 3 Year VIP Access and give me support for only $12.97 per year. I signed up anyway, even though I thought that the ad is a bit phony because it only gets free when you pay for it. I don’t think I will ever find a web site that would offer great value than this and right now, I am enjoying tons of movies and even TV series… I can finally watch Heroes with no commercial break!

I have been a big fan on Tony Hawk for a lot of years and even though he hasn’t been too present lately in the Extreme Games, he still is my favorite skateboarder. Anthony Frank “Tony” Hawk was born May 12, 1968. He is an American professional skateboarder that gained significant fame for completing the first 900 move at the 1999 X-Games as well as his licensed video game titles distributed by Activision. I have been following him ever since he made that 900 and I never failed to buy his video games, as well as some of his memorabilia. I also never missed his Boom Boom Huck Jam events and I even got a chance to meet the man himself in one of those events. As for myself, I am also trying to get in to extreme sports and I have a collection of skate decks in my house and one of them has Tony Hawk’s signature on it, which I consider one of my prized possessions. I haven’t really competed in any major events but I am always practicing my moves and tried to compete in a minor contest. I can only wish that I can reach the success that Tony Hawk has ever achieved.

In Search of Hugh

Written by admin in Movies

I’m an avid fan of Hugh Jackman, even to the point that my boyfriend gets jealous sometimes. There’s no movie of him that I didn’t watch and I make sure that I’ve researched his upcoming movie even before a trailer or information is officially released. I just love his acting and even his hosting skills impressed me His latest hosting of the Oscars I think proved that he’s really one of the best actors in time. There’s one time that I missed his interview with Ellen, good thing there’s YouTube for me to catch up. The interview was more than 12 minutes so the video was in two installment series. After watching the first part and the second part I found a related video entitled Wolverine in military aircraft Europe. My first instinct was to automatically click the video and to my dismay it was just a guy wearing a Wolverine outfit while flying a mig-29. I should have been pissed because some people are just too good at playing jerks especially in YouTube but I let it passed. It was a good laugh though and I even read the comment, the video was taken from their adventure tours in Russia.

Emo Among Us

Written by admin in Emo Music

Emo is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid 1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as “emotional hardcore” or “emocore” and initiated by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace. As the style was echoed by modern American punk bands, its sound and meaning shifted and changed, blending with pop punk and indie rock and summarized in the early 1990s by groups such as Jawbreaker and Sunny Day Real Estate. By the mid 1990s numerous emo acts emerged from the Midwestern and Central United States, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the style. Nowadays, this style of music has been associated with fashion as well, along with the Emo sayings. It is sometimes labeled with tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringe brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair, tight t-shirts (usually short-sleeved) which often bear the names of emo bands (or other designer shirts), studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes and in some cases thick, black horn-rimmed glasses. This fashion has at times been characterized as a fad. Emo quotes have also become popular due to the lyrics of the bands that play this type of music
